I received a wonderful review on "The Singing Bone," recently. I was not compared to the award winning author for the "Albany Trilogy," William Kennedy, I was mistaken for him. To say that I was flattered, is an extreme understatement. Click on the button for the review.

Bill Kennedy started writing stories a long time ago. He hid them in the back of his closet under a shoe box. He realized later that stories could be shared and somebody might enjoy reading them.

The Singing Bone, is a self published adult novel told through the eyes of three generations of Irish immigrants with special powers.

Tramp, A Detective's Story,
is a middle grade chapter book, about the world's best dog detective, published by North Star Press, St. Cloud, Mn.

BBK, Three Author's of Jamestown, is a collection of poetry, commentary and short fiction. Bill provides the poetry.

Mr. Big & Tiny  is currently being developed as a picture book about the world's largest buffalo (actually exists in Jamestown, ND) and his best friend a tiny bird.

Bill spent many years in the men's and children's fashion business. He traveled around the world making many friends looking for the right fabrics and colors for merchandise to be sold a year later in department stores. . He learned that kids and adults share the same needs, problems and love of family whether they live in Peoria, Illinois, Minneapolis, Beijing, Dublin, Florence, Hong Kong, New York City, or Jamestown, North Dakota.

A few years ago, he received his MFA in creative writing for children and young adults at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. When they have time, he and his wife Mary K. teach creative writing to 2nd & 3rd grade kids and residents of long term care facilities. They have learned that the lesson plan is pretty much the same whether the student is 7 or 97.
